The Yocca family has been in Orange County for 50 years.
Orange County and The Yocca Law Firm each have succeeded by producing high-quality, innovative services, delivered locally and globally.
Orange County has been the home of Nick Edward Yocca (born Windber, Pennsylvania) and his children for 49 years.
The family moved onto Orange County in 1964 to lead the corporate and tax department at Rutan & Tucker in Santa Ana, California.
In 1973-1974, Nick E. Yocca had thoughts of forming a new law firm in Orange County.
Also in 1973-1974, his eldest, Nicholas J. Yocca
, distinguished himself by winning the year's Orange County Academic Decathalon Grand Championship.
The top scorer in Orange County as a junior at Dana Hills High School in Dana Point, California, Nick had an added experience of a fully-paid trip to the Governor's Office in Sacramento, California and an appointment to meet Gov. Ron Reagan in person. Ronald Reagan in this picture shakes the hand of the Grand Champ, who was accompanied by his Coach Patrick Levins (taking the picture and not in it) and all of the best scorers in the Academic Decathlon.
Returning to Sacramento after repeating as Grand Champion of the Orange County Academic Decathlon again in his senior school year, Nick Yocca
again traveled with Patrick Levins, Coach, and other high-scoring students awkwardly called "academic decathletes". That year's entourage unfortunately could'nt be greeted by the first-term California Governor Jerry Brown. Jerry followed in the footsteps of his own father, the legendary Governor Edmund G. "Pat" Brown, who had many glorious accomplishments.
In 1975, Nick E. Yocca and three junior lawyers who worked at Rutan & Tucker formed a firm under the name of Yocca, Carlson, Rauth & Schaaf, a name by which Nick E. Yocca's firm was known from 1975 to 1977. Then in 1978, the firm added a group doing municipal law at Rutan & Tucker and changed its name to Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth, P.C.
For a new Millennium, a new law firm, The Yocca Law Firm LLP was formed by Nicholas J. Yocca
, Mark W. Yocca
and others in 2000, with the singular purpose of providing first-quality service without the high price.
